Pizza Schmizza Franchise Information:
Grab a group of friends and gather round one of the three TVs or the arcade games for some of the best pizza in town. Pick from 25 Schmizza varieties including the traditional Italian offerings, more exotic options (including Louisiana alligator and steak and potato), or the long list of chicken pizzas.
Kids certainly aren't left out of the excitement; in the back of the restaurant is a party table complete with paper and crayons. Depending on the location pooches are welcome on the back patio.
What's Up With That Name?
Andre Jehan co-founded Schmizza with his wife, Carla Jehan, in 1993, partly to establish a fun business for themselves, and partly due to the sad lack at that time of authentic New York-style pizza on the west coast. Jehan's father disparaged the plan with a scornful "Pizza schmizza--get a real job," and the name stuck. His father, by the way, now helps run a Schmizza store.
