What is School of Rock?
School of Rock Music was founded in 1998 as a performance-based music school with a rock music program that provides individual music lessons taught by working musicians, group rehearsals, performance experience, exclusive limited access to the school and equipment during business hours, and branded merchandise for students between the ages of seven and nineteen.
We provide a rock music program for children, a method of teaching students through performing in front of a paying audience in a real rock venue, and regional groups of elite students known as "The School of Rock All Stars". In fact, School of Rock served as the inspiration for Jack Black's hit comedy School of Rock!
School of Rock is now reaching national brand awareness and will expand rapidly into new markets. With every new location, we focus on what makes us great: helping kids to succeed on stage and in life.
Marketing & Advertising: ~ We will do the following :
- Make available to you advertising and promotional materials including merchandising materials, point-of-purchase materials and materials for special promotions at your expense
- Maintain and administer the "Brand Fund"
- Review samples of advertising and promotional plans and materials for approved use
- Maintain a Website
- Organize, manage and promote a national group of student musicians called "The School of Rock All-Stars"
Training & Support:
Our goal is to help you open, staff, and operate your School of Rock quickly and confidently, and start doing live shows in your area to promote your school. You and your staff will learn how to use our motivational tiers to get kids to learn an instrument, overcome stage fright and play great classic rock music via hands-on sessions and a comprehensive curriculum manual.
We will provide the following:
- Loan you a copy of the confidential operations manual
- On-site supervision and assistance
- Initial Training Program consisting of web-based and teleconference operations course and a music directors course
- Site selection guidance and consultation
- Lease negotiation assistance
- Provide specifications for a prototypical School of Rock
- Provide a list of equipment needed to open and access to any discount package we may negotiate with suppliers from which you may purchase your equipment
- Provide advice, assistance, on-site training, and written materials about operations, services, teaching methods, music venue selection, music venue business issues, scheduling methods, sales methods, products and marketing techniques
- Designate or approve suppliers

School of Rock is looking for energetic individuals who enjoy working with families and children. Ideal candidates should have an entrepreneurial spirit, solid business and sales skills, and be an active part of the communities in which they live and work. A background in music, although a plus, is not a requirement.
Interested parties should have at least $70,000 to invest.
